The first part of your pregnancy is a time of physical and emotional changes, and sometimes it's hard to know if something going on with your body is "normal" or a potential crisis. This list includes a breakdown of some conditions that require an immediate call to your provider.

Please contact your provider if any of these things happen early in your pregnancy:

  • Persistent pain or cramping.
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Severe, constant headaches.
  • Persistent vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Swelling of hands, face, legs, and feet.
  • Fever (over 101 degrees) lasting more than 24 hours.

In fact, you should feel free to contact your caregiver with any questions or concerns at any time during your pregnancy.
