As you get further along in your pregnancy it is important to be aware about how you are feeling. You should feel free to contact your caregiver with any questions or concerns at any time during your pregnancy.

Call Your Provider

Please contact your provider if you’re experiencing any of these symptoms:
 

  1. Bright red vaginal bleeding
  2. Strong or sharp abdominal pain
  3. No movement from your baby during a 24 hour period  (after you are 28 weeks pregnant)
  4. Excessive swelling of the face or fingers
  5. Severe continuous headaches or recurring headaches
  6. Blurred vision or “flashing lights” sensation 
  7. Persistent vomiting
  8. Chills or fever
  9. Greatly decreased urination
  10. Contractions of 6 or more in 1 hour if you are less than 36 weeks pregnant
  11. A gush of fluid from your vagina.
     

In fact, you should feel free to contact your caregiver with any questions or concerns at any time during your pregnancy.

Dad/Partner Tip
Talk to your partner and be honest, let her know how you are feeling. Bond with your baby, feel it move, and talk to it before he or she is born.
